Joining a gym shouldn’t feel complicated.
Our FAQs answers the most common questions about Empire Gym—how memberships work, what services we offer, and what you can expect when you train with us. We believe fitness should be simple, welcoming, and built for real people.
If you still need help after browsing the answers below, our team is always here to help you find your fit.

Children 10 years and older may have a membership with a parent or guardian.
For safety reasons, children under 10 are not permitted on the gym floor, and members ages 10–15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while in the gym. Youth members are not permitted to participate in regular group fitness classes.

We utilize camers throughout the gym. As a 24/7/365 facility we want to make sure that you are safe and secure in our training environment, that members are correctly and safely using the equipment as it was intended to be used, and that your hard-earned money used to pay for your membership isn't taken advantage of by persons who are not members utilizing the facilities.
No, memberships are not transferable.
If you are active military and receive deployment orders, you can place your membership on hold (freeze your account) for the duration of your deployment. This allows you to pause billing while you are away and easily resume your membership when you return.
T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, sweatpants, and closed-toe athletic shoes are all appropriate gym attire. For safety reasons, flip-flops, bare feet, or socks only are not permitted on the gym floor.
No. As much as we love kiddos and all those things, our focus is making the most of the space we have so members can achieve their goals in the gym. That means prioritizing equipment and training areas dedicated to strength and resistance training—because lifting delivers some of the best results for overall health, strength, and long-term fitness (with a little cardio mixed in, of course).
We also offer an infrared sauna, which is included with our Total Wellness membership for members looking to add recovery and relaxation to their routine.
Yes. We have individual shower rooms that can be utilized by one person at a time.
Testimonials
I can't say enough good things about Empire Gym and their awesome staff. Everyone is friendly and helps you anytime you need it. Coming from someone that never went to a gym and was intimidated because I knew nothing about working out. The staff explained everything I needed to know and I feel more comfortable around all the equipment. Also Mary is a kick ass personal trainer. She not only explains how to do everything correctly she explains why you are doing. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

As a whole it has a different vibe for gyms than I’m used to… it’s welcoming and positive the moment you step inside… waaaay better feeling than going to the Y!!!
